  16. The ABSOLUTELY most important thing to beware of with NewIcons is make 
  17. sure you don't use any more than the maximum number of bitplanes you need 
  18. for your icons. 256 colour icons are pretty, but totally inpractical for 
  19. speed reasons. I'd not use anything greater than 8-colour for day-to-day 
  20. use.

  22. It also maybe that newicons isn't doing the fastest possible colour 
  23. remapping. If it's using the OS GetBestPen functions it'll be damn slow 
  24. indeed!
